PUMPKIN PIE

    What is autumn without pumpkin pie? What is Thanksgiving without pumpkin pie? A little less that's all!

    Using fresh cooked pumpkin puree or canned, this pie is delicious.

    A 9 inch pie shell
    1 cups pumpkin
    cup brown sugar
    2 eggs lightly beaten
    1 cups milk
    cup heavy cream
    dash of ground clove
    tsp ginger
    1 teasp cinnamon
    dash of nutmeg

    Mix ingredients together and pour into pastry or a pyrex dish (if you want a pudding rather than a pie).

    Bake at 450 o for 10 minutes
    Lower heat to 300o until firm (about 45 minutes)

    Cool
    Serve with whipped cream
